What Bextin texts are

Bextin is a team communication service. Businesses use it to send work-related text messages to their own employees and team members: schedules, shift coverage requests, team announcements, and quick questions that need an answer. Each text is sent on behalf of the employer and starts with the employer's name.

Bextin is never used to text a business's customers, and it never sends marketing or promotional messages.

Who gets texts

Only people whose employer has added them to their team in Bextin and who have agreed to receive texts. Being added by an employer is not enough on its own. Texts stay off until the person agrees.

How people agree to texts

An employer adds the team member's mobile number to their Bextin account.
The team member signs in to Bextin with that number, confirmed by a one-time code.
On their dashboard they tap Turn on texts, read the terms on the consent screen below, check the box, and tap Join texts.
Bextin records the time, the method, and the exact wording they agreed to.

Join texts

Example messages

Riverside Cafe: Can anyone cover Sat 4-10pm? Reply YES to take it.

Riverside Cafe: Staff meeting Fri at 3pm. Are you coming? Reply YES or NO.

Riverside Cafe: New notice posted: holiday hours for next week.

Some texts include a link to answer with one tap. Links always use the bextin.com address.

How often

Message frequency varies and depends on how often your employer sends team updates.

Cost

Bextin texts are free from Bextin. Message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.

How to stop or get help

Reply STOP to any Bextin text to stop receiving texts. You'll get one message confirming it.
Reply START to turn texts back on.
Reply HELP for help, or email support@bextin.com.
You can also turn texts off or on from your Bextin dashboard at any time.

Your number and your privacy

Mobile numbers and texting consent are used only to deliver team messages. They are never sold, rented, or shared with anyone for marketing, and they are not shared with other team members. See our Privacy Policy for details.
