This policy explains what information Bextin LLC (“Bextin,” “we”), a [STATE] limited liability company, collects when businesses and their team members use Bextin, how we use it, and the choices you have. Bextin is a team communication service: businesses use it to send work-related texts, notices, and questions to their own employees.
The short version
- We use your information to deliver team messages and run the service. Nothing else.
- We never sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
- Mobile numbers and texting consent are never shared for marketing, and team members' numbers are not shown to each other.
- You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP.
Who controls team information
When a business uses Bextin, that business (the employer) decides whose information is added and what messages are sent. We handle team members' information on the employer's behalf and according to their instructions and this policy. For managers' own account information, Bextin is responsible for it directly.
What we collect
From managers and businesses
- Name, email address, and password (passwords are stored in scrambled, non-readable form by our login provider).
- Business details needed to register texting with mobile carriers, such as the legal business name, tax ID (EIN), website, and address.
- Private notes a manager writes about team members. These are visible only to that business's managers.
About team members (added by their employer)
- Name, mobile phone number, and the team sections they belong to.
- Texting consent records: when they agreed, how, and the exact wording they agreed to, plus any opt-out.
- Messages sent to them, their replies, and their answers to questions (for example, claiming a shift or answering a poll).
- Coverage requests they submit and any note a manager adds when responding.
Collected automatically
- Basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, used for security and troubleshooting.
- Cookies needed to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To send and deliver team texts, notices, and questions, and to record answers.
- To confirm sign-ins with one-time codes.
- To record and honor texting consent and opt-outs, as mobile carriers require.
- To register a business's texting with mobile carriers.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems, and provide support.
- To bill businesses for the service.
Text messaging and mobile information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the sharing described in this policy excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run Bextin:
- The employer. A business's managers can see their own team members' information and answers. Team members cannot see each other's phone numbers.
- Service providers that help us run Bextin, such as our hosting, database, and login providers, our texting provider and mobile carriers (to deliver messages), and a payment processor. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of people or the service.
- If Bextin is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner, who must follow this policy.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep information while a business's account is active. When a manager removes a team member, they stop receiving messages. We may keep consent and opt-out records, and records of messages sent, for as long as needed to meet legal and mobile carrier requirements, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. A business can ask us to delete its account data by emailing support@bextin.com.
How we protect it
We use encrypted connections, access controls that keep each business's data separate, and limited access for our own team. One-tap answer links are unique to each person and are stored only in scrambled form. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected businesses if a breach occurs, as the law requires.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any Bextin text, or turn texts off from your dashboard.
- To see, correct, or delete your information, contact your employer, or email us at support@bextin.com and we'll work with your employer to respond.
Children
Bextin is a workplace tool and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we'll update the date above and let managers know.
